SCHOOL CENTRE GLOGGNITZ
The school building is located in the centre of the small mountain village of Gloggnitz. The architectural value of the old village centre was the small building scale and the beutiful pitched roof scape. The new school building concept was develped out of this context and divided into several small volumes. The new rooftop landscape blends in harmoniously with the roofscape of the surroundings.
As the special beauty of the plot is bound up with the presence of its many old trees, the structure is therefore integrated into the park-like garden.
The urban design is based on the original square-forming layout of the school from the 19th century, with its mutual relationship to the town hall.
